The service was a bit slow but other than that great place.
Pleasant surprise! Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and place was empty. But food & service exceeded expectations. Very friendly and accommodating. Full menu with lots of variety. Excited to find vegetarian options too. Full service bar with good selection of beers both bottle and on tap. Will be stopping in again in the future.
This place is very nicely decorated and has a very nice atmosphere. The server was very accommodating and was very knowledgeable of the history of the restaurant and the Crawford area. I had a bacon cheeseburger that was very good and well seasoned. The french fries were fresh made and very flavorful. Very enjoyable experience.
Terrible food. My beans and rice came out rock hard solid with my Mexican dish. Service was terrible. Waiter didn't even know what was on the menu or any kind of beers that they had. I would never wat here again. I have never written such low review either....
It's nice, clean, and has a fairly large menu.
Great food sometimes just depends on who's cooking good luck
Expensive for ok food.
Had out of town company who wanted to see Joe Cocker's former place. Went on a weekend afternoon and we were the only customers. It was so sad. The place is getting rather run down though there are still remnants of former glory. The menu is redacted with black markouts of things not served anymore. They were out of many of the items on the menu. My friend sent back nachos. The chips were inedible, hard rubber, foul tasting material. The waitress assured us they had been made Thursday. It was now Saturday. The kids did like the noodles. I hope my experience was unique but I doubt it
This place could be great if the cook seemed to care about his customers. a little bit of quality control can go a long way. Quit skimping on portions and add a little love. We love the patio and music and we want our town to thrive. There is room for improvement. Keep it up.
Husband and I went in and were ready to enjoy a steak $20 + (him) & Smoked Salmon $15+ dinner. What was brought to our table was poor quality & not worth the price we were more than willing to pay. I was not even I.D when I ordered a glass of wine! I suppose it was due to the waitress's being too busy gossiping about other employees. Totally unprofessional!
Old Man Cafe is one of the coolest places we have around. Great interior, wonderful music venue outside in the good weather. Excellent food and wonderful food all around.
Excellent service, great food, enjoyable atmosphere.
Good cheeseburger :-)
Food was great and staff was amazing! Definitely going back again!
The server was great. Food was in need of serious help. Green Chile stew on the Chile rellanos was a can of diced green chiles. Carnitas...wife couldn't even eat it. Black beans...extra crunchy.
Homemade fries and excellent burgers. Looks like live bands come through as well
Bright spot on a long beautiful road!Riding Rt. 92 and found this gem in Crawford, CO. GREAT food and local beers; bartender/server, Casey, is awesome!Great place to stop!!
Great space inside, beautifully designed. Restaurant and bar in the front with grand windows and interesting belt fans. Terraced patio in the back with grass that doubles as a music venue. Bar with billiards in the back nicely lit. The food was purdy good.
Pretty good food and service. Old fashioned milkshakes!
Yummy Goodness! 😊
The waitress was very patient and respectful. We took a drive from Olathe to go there and it was fantastic. Both the food and service was great. I highly recommend going here.
Good food great service
Good: The best chile relleno that I have had in a long time, perfectly cooked inside and crispy outside, not the slightest bit greasy. Smothered in a really good, zippy green chile. Others enjoyed their burgers which were actually cooked as ordered, and what appeared to be fresh cut fries.Bad: Went with a group of 30 or so and totally overwhelmed the staff even though we made arrangements in advance. Nice people but they must be newbies to the biz. Hope they get it together or they're gonna need Bar Rescue.
What a Fun Surprise!Late Summer Afternoon concert!
Joe is across the street.
Their smoked salmon and chips dish exceeded my expectations. Never had fried salmon before until now. Loved every single bite of it! Very delicious. Better than fried cod, actually. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer and scarfed them down real fast. Also very delicious. Service was wonderful and our waitress was really friendly. Bar room had a cozy atmosphere and the pool tables were a nice distraction while we waited for our meals. The ambient music was enjoyable and added a relaxing feel to the restaurant. Our visit composed of hits from Pink Floyd, Stealers Wheel, Elton John, and Queen. Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for a quick bite while driving through Crawford, Colorado. Overall, we had a very positive experience at The Old Mad Dog Cafe!
Smells like weed and rotten food
Great place! Awesome atmosphere!
Wonderful place for a small wedding reception. The owner was extremely hospitable, very accommodating and the food was amazing. Beautiful atmosphere!!!
Nobody ever in this place so I believe that speaks volumes
Worth going out of your way for. John and Casey are awesome. The cafe and bar are fantastic. An oasis in Crawford county. Check it out.
Very nice upscale decor and fab new bar.
How can you not enjoy the pleasant environment especially outside when a cool band is playing. The service stayed on top of things even marching thru the ampitheater grassy out door venue. Relaxed and welcoming.
This place used to be beautiful. They have run it down. The bathrooms are filthy, no toilet paper and the menu's had mold on them.
Music for free can't beat it
Great music!!!
Mr. Joe Cocker would be proud! Great food, great service and the band was awesome!
Pretty mediocre food at best, ordered and wrap and the portions were very disappointing considering the price (10$ for a wrap) - the wrap was maybe half filled.. Comparable to school lunch cafeteria food.
Great food. Waitress was amazing!
Great music, nice place, the food service was really confused, I hope they get it together better, will still go & try again
Very reasonable prices and good food. Service, well that is another story.
If you are looking for a nice quaint out of the way place to have a nice quiet dinner then this place is for you. We had a couple nice ribeyes with an appetizer, drinks and dessert and we still only spent $90 including a nice tip. Steaks were very tasty and done just right. We drove all the way from Grand Junction (90 minutes) just for fun and we will be back! The quiet atmosphere sure beats the shoulder to shoulder people and noise at all the restaurants in GJ.
Pricing is high. Food is subpar. Drinks were cold.
Very cool place. Lots of history. Great people. Free pool. Fun place to eat an drink.
Love it. Always have a good time there!
Very lovable atmosphere a great place to bring the whole family.
Lots of history in this town...
Service was great. Food was perfectly fine. Really fun atmosphere.
Salmon Fish and ChipsNever had salmon in a fish and chips before, only white fish, but I have to say it was refreshingly good.
